I am officially a college grad.
Today I walked, received my diploma holder, and symbolically moved on to the next point in my life.
Seven years in the making, it certainly is a relief, but it doesn’t feel as grand as I thought it would. I have come up with many reasons for this: all, some, or none of them accurate. I haven’t decided.
I am facing the first summer in seven years that has a more exciting end than simply a fall semester at some college. I have not yet adjusted to this fact. Not that I am unhappy about it; it is simply something I must acclimate to.
